OP3 Global builds national pavilions for world expos and delivers museum, gallery and cultural fit-out across the region. We have represented sovereign governments on the world's largest stage — structures that carry a country's identity, built to an immovable opening date, under the scrutiny of an international organizing authority.
National Pavilion Design & Construction
A national pavilion is not a large exhibition stand. It is a permanent-standard building on a temporary programme, delivered to a date that cannot move, under the technical regulations of the organizing authority and the political scrutiny of the country it represents.
We have delivered seven of them. That experience is mostly procedural rather than aesthetic: knowing what the organizer’s technical review will reject before you submit it, what a Commissioner General needs to sign off and when, how site access and shared logistics work when two hundred contractors are building simultaneously on one plot, and how to hold a completion date when a shipment clears customs late.
Museum, Gallery & Cultural Fit-Out
• Artifact security — display cases and vitrines with graded locking, laminated glazing, seismic mounting and alarm integration
• Environmental control — humidity and temperature stability within conservation tolerances, and air quality specification for sensitive materials
• Conservation lighting — lux and UV levels held within recommended limits for the object class, with fibre optic and low-heat LED where required
• Interpretive design — narrative sequencing, graphic hierarchy, bilingual signage and accessible reading heights
• Mounts and plinths — bespoke mount-making and object supports made to the individual piece
• Immersive technology — projection mapping, interactive touch points, sound scapes and AR layers integrated into the architecture rather than bolted onto it
⚙️ Our Process
2 — Architectural concept. Design development, 3D visualization and physical or virtual walkthrough for ministry and Commissioner General approval.
3 — Technical design and organizer submission. Structural engineering, MEP, fire and life safety, and the full technical package submitted to the organizing authority — with comments answered and approvals secured.
4 — Fabrication and procurement. Structural elements, scenic, joinery and AV produced and pre-assembled, with long-lead items ordered against a critical path.
5 — Construction and fit-out. On-site build to the organizer’s shared logistics schedule, with weekly progress reporting.
6 — Commissioning and handover. Testing, snagging, staff familiarization and handover ahead of the opening ceremony.
7 — Operation and dismantling. Technical support through the expo period, then dismantling, material recovery, relocation where applicable, and site reinstatement.
